It used to be so simple back in the day! Science fiction was science fiction, romance was romance, and comedy was comedy!

For the sake of simplicity, Scott Rochester writes science fiction novels. He also writes a bit of non-fiction which (luckily) fits into neatly defined, existing categories!

However, according to many in the field of literature, his creative works now need to be defined more precisely than mere science fiction! Who makes up these rules?

It’s not fantasy. It’s not space opera. It’s not steampunk. And it’s not tech noir.

Unfortunately, it’s not easy to pigeon hole Scott’s material in one precise genre, and so he has invented one of his own.

Scott Rochester’s novels have a rational, futuristic, demi-real, demi-dystopia feel, with a modest sprinkling of light hearted juvenile humour, all underpinned by sound ethical principles!

You might find it easier to just call it Rational Demi-Dystopia!
